The shallow, linear feature evident on the eastern side of the Miami Circle is a footing or builder’s trench associated with the Brickell Point Apartments, built in 1950. The trench cut into the upper surface of the limestone bedrock, but did not completely obliterate the carved holes and basins in this part of the Circle.
